Abbey Lau

Abbey grew up in the Colorado mountains before moving to California to attend Cal Poly, where she earned her B.Arch while minoring in Women, Gender, and Queer Studies and Philosophy—disciplines exploring humankind’s relationship with the world that continue to shape her design approach.

Her connection to architecture began young, building furniture with her dad. That curiosity carried into her studies, where she competed in furniture design competitions crafting wood-joinery pieces. A lifelong artist, she brings deep craft and creative expression to her work, with a practice spanning sketching, painting, and collage.

Abbey has completed all requirements for California architectural licensure and is finalizing her official certification.
